Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using TabUp (the "App") or visiting tabup.cslade.space (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use TabUp.

TabUp is a bill-splitting application that allows users to scan receipts, assign items to individuals, send payment requests via third-party payment platforms, and share tabs with others via invite links. TabUp does not process payments directly and is not a financial institution or payment processor.

You must be at least 13 years old to use TabUp. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at csladedev@outlook.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.

You agree not to use TabUp to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other users
• Submit false or misleading receipt data
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App or its infrastructure
• Use the service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

You retain ownership of the receipt images and data you submit. By submitting content to TabUp, you grant us a limited license to process and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your group members.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you upload and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

TabUp generates payment request links for Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and similar services. These transactions occur entirely on third-party platforms subject to their own terms and policies. TabUp has no control over, and is not responsible for, any payments, disputes, or errors that occur on those platforms.

TabUp may send push notifications to your device for tab activity such as new tab invitations, payment reminders, and settlement confirmations. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App.

TabUp is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of TabUp is at your sole risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TabUp and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of TabUp shall not exceed the greater of $10 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TabUp and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of TabUp after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
